USIBC, with our partners from Space and Satellite Professionals International (SSPI), seeks to build the foundations for a broader U.S.-India space business community via an expert roundtable discussion of recent Government of India rules for the geospatial segment, as well as areas where the U.S. commercial human space flight (HSF) program could support India’s HSF program. The United States and India have a long and successful tradition of space cooperation, and the future opportunities for expanded collaboration are only bounded by our imagination – from the early 1963 beginnings when India first launched a U.S.-manufactured sounding rocket from Thumba to study the atmosphere to the future of the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) Earth observation mission.

USIBC works with our members and the U.S. government space community to promote the Indian relationship, and this event supports greater interaction between the two government. India has recently embarked on reforms and liberalization of its commercial space sector, and USIBC seeks to support this opening and create opportunities for U.S. industry and our members.
