Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) will change its company name to SSC Space at the beginning of 2026.
The rebranding from Swedish Space Corporation to “SSC Space” is not merely cosmetic. It marks the culmination of a 24-month strategy to transition the entity from a legacy range operator into a vertically integrated defense and launch prime for Europe. By absorbing subsidiaries (LSE Space, Aurora) under one banner, SSC is streamlining its bid posture for large-scale ESA and NATO contracts that require end-to-end chain of custody—from ground segment to orbit.

Adding to this is Sweden’s NATO accession and the recent US “Technology Safeguards Agreement” (TSA) have positioned SSC as the “Gatekeeper of the Arctic” for Allied space access.
Operating internationally, the company has premises across all continents: Sweden, Australia, Canada, Chile, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, and the United States.
“We operate on a truly international stage, supporting missions and customers across the globe. To unify our identity, strengthen our market presence, and foster a shared culture of pride and engagement, we are evolving our brand to SSC Space,” says Carina Aspenberg, SVP and Head of Communications at SSC.
“Under one global brand, we can fully leverage the strength of our leading market position. SSC Space will continue to build on the recognition and trust established over decades, maintaining the same mission, values, and expertise – with the same commitment to helping Earth benefit from space,” says Charlotta Sund, President and CEO of SSC.
