Novaspace expands to India

November 17, 2025

Novaspace, the global consulting and market-intelligence firm dedicated to the space sector, has opened a new office in India, marking a strategic milestone in the firm’s mission to connect global expertise with one of the world’s most dynamic and fast-evolving space ecosystems.

Building on more than 40 years of heritage in advising governments, space agencies, and industry leaders, Novaspace’s expansion into India reflects both a commitment to local collaboration and a vision for global impact.

India’s space journey has evolved from a government-led pursuit into a globally integrated ecosystem blending innovation, entrepreneurship, and strategic ambition. According to the Novaspace Government Space Programs 2024 report, IN-SPACe’s ‘Decadal Vision and Strategy for the Indian Space Economy’ report sets out a ten-year roadmap to transform India into “a dominant space power,” with the government targeting growth from $8.4 billion in 2022 to $44 billion by 2033 through stronger public–private collaboration and international partnerships.

Supported by progressive reforms, including clarified Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) rules, new venture and technology funds for startups, and expanding civil programs in launch capabilities, Earth observation, telecommunications, and human spaceflight, India is rapidly positioning itself as one of the world’s most open and collaborative hubs for space innovation.

Led by Surbhi Patni Dalmia, Director and Country Head of Novaspace India, the new Indian base will enable close collaboration with the country’s start-ups, industrial players, government bodies, and research institutions. Her extensive experience in strategy and space-sector development ensures that Novaspace’s expansion is guided by deep local insight and proven industry leadership.

The India office will complement Novaspace’s existing network of 10 offices across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific, strengthening the company’s ability to deliver localized intelligence and co-develop strategies for national and international markets, while reinforcing its role as a trusted global advisor offering management consulting, technology consulting, market intelligence, and executive summits.

India today stands at a crossroads in the global space economy,” said Pacôme Révillon, CEO of Novaspace. “As the country transitions from government-led missions to commercially driven applications, it is becoming one of the most compelling opportunities in the global space sector. For Novaspace, entering India is a natural and timely step that allows us to align our consulting, technology, and market-intelligence expertise with a vibrant, large-scale, and fast-moving ecosystem. We believe that by being local, we are better placed to partner with Indian government, industry and academia, to co-develop solutions and serve both domestic and export markets.”
