Arianespace delays launch of Ariane 64

October 20, 2025

Arianespace will be delaying the launch of the Ariane 64, and declined to give a projected launch date but will announce the date about one month ahead of the launch. Arianespace reports that the first Ariane 64 will carry a batch of Amazon’s Project Kuiper satellites.

Although there will be an Arianespace launch in November it will be the Ariane 62 version has two solid rocket boosters while the Arianespace 64 has four. Ariane Group is a joint venture between Airbus and Safran, while the Ariane Group controls the Ariane project.

Arianespace Chief Executive David Cavaillolè, replacement for CEO Martin Sion who has “stepped down”, announced there should be around eight missions in 2026.
