

XTAR, LLC, a U.S. affiliate of Hisdesat S.A. of Madrid announced that Patrick H. Rayermann has been appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Rayermann will drive the organization forward to its next phase of growth and transformation as a leader in military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Earth observation solutions used today by the US Department of Defense (DoD) and other members of the NATO Alliance.

Mr. Rayermann is a well-known and highly-regarded satellite communications professional with over 40 years of uniformed and industry experience supporting the Department of Defense.
Following an Army career that included senior leadership roles at Defense Information Systems Agency, US Army Space and Missile Defense Command, and the Army Staff, as well as follow-on industry positions including with Airbus.
Mr. Rayermann most recently served as a contractor within DoD-CIO.
XTAR, LLC is the world’s only U.S. company that commercializes the satellite-based capabilities of a key NATO Ally — the Kingdom of Spain — and provides them to the U.S. Department of Defense and other NATO Allies. Founded in 2001, XTAR began providing WGS-compatible X-band communications exclusively to government and military users on the XTAR-EUR satellite (29°E) and XTAR-LANT satellite (30°W).
These satellites will be upgraded to their triband (X/mil-Ka/UHF) NextGeneration replacements over the next several months.
