Reflective beam expanders for high power laser experiments under vacuum

June 24, 2025

Optical Surfaces Ltd. has announced reflective beam expanders with the option to optimally operate in high vacuum environments, expanding or reducing high power laser beams.

Benefiting from a high throughput off-axis design, these beam expanders provide an unobstructed output and highly efficient transmission. The reflective design of these beam expanders is achromatic and with different coatings they can operate from UV to far IR without adjustment.

Supplied housed in a robust aluminum cover, each Vacuum Compatible Beam Expander comes with provision for secure fixing to an optical table. Alignment aids are provided to ensure correct beam pointing and tracking during integration.

Manufactured to better than lambda/5 transmitted wavefront accuracy, these reflective beam expanders are available with various magnifications up to 30x.Optical Surfaces Ltd is today accepted as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of reflective beam expanders.

An interferogram and OPD map is supplied with every reflective beam expander to assure you of its high performance and top-quality construction. Optical Surfaces Ltd. has been producing large and demanding high precision optical components and systems for more than 60 years and is today internationally acknowledged for its technical expertise, attention to quality and customer service.
