
SpaceX is standing by to launch Starlink Group 6-16 smallsats on Monday, October 21, from Space Launch Complex 40, Cape Canaveral, Florida, which has launched 266 rockets, including 266 orbital launch attempts. This launch will send off 23 Starlink smallsats at 6:58 PM – 10:40 PM EST (local time) and 3:58 PM – 7:40 PM PDT (Pacific Daylight Time) to Low Earth Orbit at a cost of $69.75 million.
The weather looks favorable after the death and destruction from tornadoes and hurricanes that have recently, tragically, destroyed many places.
According to weather officials, there’s a 70% chance of favorable weather conditions at the time of the launch. The forecast calls for a temperature of 77° F, light rain, 1% cloud cover, a wind speed of 16 mph and 0.62 in of rain.
The Falcon 9 booster to be used is unknown that will land on the fourth ASDS barge, A Shortfall of Gravitas (ASOG), currently used to recover Falcon 9 and Heavy boosters in the Altantic Ocean.
