Congratulations to Christopher Ramos, Founder of Warrior’s Garden Solutions.

The Lt. Michael P. Murphy Award honors Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Penn State alumnus who was killed on June 28, 2005, during a reconnaissance mission in Afghanistan and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions. This award recognizes Penn State graduates who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces or Intelligence Community and made exceptional contributions to geospatial intelligence. The award is endowed through the generosity of Maxar and Penn State’s community, with USGIF serving as the awarding organization.

Ramos has an impressive career in geospatial analysis, environmental research, and military operations. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Spatial Data Science online with Penn State University, through Penn State World Campus, focusing on GIS, data analytics, machine learning, and computer programming.

Renowned for his prior military service as a Special Operations Weather Technician in the U.S. Air Force, Ramos exemplifies dedication and expertise by providing environmental intelligence that is pivotal to mission success. His tenure as an instructor at the Special Tactics Training Squadron highlights his commitment to nurturing the next generation of military leaders.

In 2023, Ramos founded  Warrior’s Garden Solutions, offering innovative environmental intelligence and geospatial analysis.

“The award’s prestige and my MS program skills position my business to provide cutting-edge solutions in environmental data science and geospatial intelligence,” said Ramos.

Through integrating advanced technologies and data science, Warrior’s Garden Solutions offers unmatched insights into the complexities of Earth’s environmental systems, setting a new standard for innovation and precision.

“Receiving this award is a profound recognition, especially considering Lt. Michael Murphy’s sacrifices and dedication during Operation Red Wings. His bravery and leadership inspire me. This award honors his legacy and acknowledges my dedication, particularly during my deployments to Afghanistan as a Special Operations Weather Technician (SOWT),” said Ramos.
