
KSAT is opening an office in Tokyo to enhances the firm’s relationships and to support satellite operators in the region.

This action follows more than 20 years of service to the Japanese market. For KSAT, Japan is home to important customers and partners. Being close to the customers is essential for developing services further and building relationship with key stakeholders, including those in the Japanese space industry.
KSAT has supported JAXA and other Japanese satellite owners and operators in the past and has now a strong relationship with JSAT through our strategic partnership as well as supporting the fast-growing space industry in Japan.
The office will be led by Kenneth Olafsson, Head of KSAT Asia Pacific and Representative Director for KSAT Japan, who has managed the commercial business for KSAT in the region for the last 14 years. He looks forward to relocating and starting this new chapter for KSAT.
In addition to open an office in Tokyo, KSAT is expanding the ground network capabilities by including two sites in Hokkaido and Okinawa, in partnership with JSAT.
