A perfect Florida day on Monday, May 6, with the sun high, clear skies, and ocean waves rolling up on the beach as Falcon 9 launched 23 Starlink small satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
Today’s launch was the 46th so far this year and the 31st in 2024 dedicated to the Starlink broadband constellation that has more than 5,800 working satellites.
Once again the booster landed following stage separation on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, that was stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. This is the 15th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched CRS-24, Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13F, OneWeb 1, SES-18 and SES-19, and 10 Starlink missions.
