
Third time is possibly the charm that Russia will try on Thursday to proceed with a test launch of its Angara-A5 space rocket in the Vostochny Angara Test Flight of Angara A5/Blok DM-03 from Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center after technical glitches prompted officials to abort missions at the very last minute for two days in a row.
Angara A5/Blok DM-03 is an Angara A5 with an improved Blok DM-03 RP-1/LOX upper stage. There are 2 variants for the DM-03: the Persey for launches from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, and the Orion for launches from the Vostochny Cosmodrome. The launch cost is $31Million.
Russia’s space chief, Yuri Borisov, quoted by Russian news agencies, said the launch had been rescheduled for noon on Thursday (0900 GMT) at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, located in the forests of the Amur region in Russia’s Far East.
