Rogue Space Systems Corporation, provider of satellite servicing solutions, announces the successful launch, deployment, and commencement of operations for its first satellite, Barry-1.

The satellite has achieved stable communications and control since its launch on November 11th, entering the Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP), which will proceed into December. Rogue is preparing for payload testing including the Rogue Scalable Compute Platform (SCP) and the innovative IVO Quantum drives, potentially the first commercially viable pure electric propulsion technology.

Jon Beam, Chief Operating Officer, praised the Mission Operations team for their exceptional work and agility, advancing ahead of schedule toward completing primary mission objectives by year’s end. Brent Abbott, Chief Revenue Officer, highlighted the team’s dual success in both commissioning Barry-1 and executing on a newly secured commercial on-orbit services contract.
Barry-1 is set to operate through 2025, enhancing space heritage and supporting hosted payload customers. Rogue’s next program, Laura-1, targeted to launch in early 2025, will demonstrate their autonomous Rendezvous Proximity Operations (RPO) systems.
