A SpaceX Falcon 9 launch vehicle launched 23 Starlink satellites (Starlink-124 / Starlink 6-30) to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, on 28 November 2023, at 04:20 UTC (27 November, at 23:20 EST).
Following stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage landed on the “Just Read the Instructions” droneship, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. Falcon 9’s first stage (B1062) previously supported 16 missions: GPS III SV04, GPS III SV05, Inspiration4, Ax-1, Nilesat 301, OneWeb 17, ARABSAT BADR-8 and 9 Starlink missions. The drone ship, a converted ocean-going barge, that is one of three operated by SpaceX and will be stationed about 420 miles (620km) downrange, East of the Bahamas.
This launch brings the total number of Starlink satellites launched to 5,514. This will be the 57th Starlink mission of 2023, the 277th Falcon 9 launch to date, and the 83rd Falcon 9 launch of 2023.
This is the 17th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched GPS III Space Vehicle 04, GPS III Space Vehicle 05, Inspiration4, Ax-1, Nilesat 301, OneWeb Launch 17, ARABSAT BADR-8, and nine Starlink missions.
