Decorated US Space Force technology leader joins Aegis Aerospace

 Aegis Aerospace, Inc. announced recently that Col. Dan Gallton, PhD. (USSF, ret.) has joined the company as its Vice President of Strategic Market Development, reporting to the President.

Dr. Gallton

Col. Gallton had a celebrated 25-year career with the US Air Force and US Space Force, retiring as the Division Chief, Science and Engineering Division, of the Air Force Research Lab/ Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFRL/AFOSR).

He has extensive program management and leadership experience in domestic and international science and technology, space superiority, and satellite procurement, development, operations, policy, and launch. He has a PhD. in space physics and master’s degrees in physics, international relations, and national security affairs.

In his new leadership role, Dr. Gallton will engage with government agencies, key industry leaders, and international partners to help ensure that Aegis Aerospace’s strategic and technology roadmaps remain aligned with its customers’ emerging plans and needs. Dr. Gallton will also establish the company’s new Washington D.C. regional office.

Company President Bill Hollister said, “Dan is a national and international leader in science and technology and in developing advanced aerospace systems for future operational needs. We’re very pleased that he joined our team, and we look forward to the many ways he will help us advance our customers’ missions.”
