EnduroSat has launched DeskSat, the company’s most advanced FlatSat that was developed by firm’s team after extensive work on multiple missions with academic and commercial space customers.
As with other FlatSat systems, DeskSat mirrors the electronics and software of a satellite, enabling extensive testing and fully representative payload integration before an operational satellite is manufactured.
Unlike other FlatSats, DeskSat comes fully integrated with software tools for development and operations: SpaceDev and SpaceOps. This opens completely new capabilities for space engineers to work on diverse missions with the highest level of accuracy during development and testing campaigns.
DeskSat is already available to pre-order that includes a one year professional license for SpaceDev and SpaceOps.
The setup includes: Onboard computer; two transceivers (S-band and UHF), one transmitter (X-band); 1x ADCS computer and a representative integrated Electric Power System (EPS).
The DeskSat will be showcased for the first time at the SmallSat Conference in Utah from August 5-10.
This announcement follows a period of rapid growth for EnduroSat, which closed a $10 million Series A in May, led by the EU Private Equity CEECAT Capital which is focused on the high growth markets in CEE region. Existing investors that include Freigeist Capital also joined the round.
EnduroSat’s Balkan Constellation of 120 smallsats was recently selected by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Union (EU) for the Copernicus Contributing missions. The constellation will provide the Balkans and the EU with unprecedented revisit time, real-time cloud-based monitoring services, and AI-powered detection. It will accelerate access to maritime surveillance, humanitarian, and ecological support, as well as environmental monitoring.
“The DeskSat is another step in EnduroSat’s mission of making space universally accessible and secure. It provides space engineers with unprecedented capability to develop and test their space solutions in a safe and affordable way. Accelerating test campaigns and ensuring maximum accuracy of simulations on the ground provides a higher chance of success in orbit. The DeskSat contains all the components that engineers need to maximize their pre-flight testing campaigns. I am proud of my team’s efforts in designing and producing our next-gen FlatSat.” — Raycho Raychev, Founder and CEO, EnduroSat
