Space Systems Command’s $900 Million contract is awarded to 18 contractors for Space Command & Control Data Software services

March 26, 2023

Space Systems Command’s Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) Program Executive Office will award a $900 million Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to 18 contractors to provide Data Software Services that directly support warfighter needs. IDIQ is a flexible type of contract that doesn’t require the government to list the exact quantities of the product or services it needs and allows agencies to adjust their requirements over the life of the contract. All Contractors were chosen on a best-value basis, with a heavy emphasis on their commercial software solution and current accreditation or plan/ability to obtain accreditation.

SSC manages an $11 billion space acquisition budget for the Department of Defense and works in partnership with joint forces, industry, government agencies, academic and allied organizations to accelerate innovation and outpace emerging threats.

“Contractors that win subsequent Delivery Orders will provide critical capability to support the Secretary of the Air Force’s operational imperatives, with a focus on delivering resilient and effective Space order of Battle and Architectures,” said Maj. Hayden Poe, SSC’s Warp Core program manager.

The contractors selected are:

  • Agility Consulting
  • August Schell Enterprises
  • Avantus Federal
  • BAE Systems
  • Bluestaq
  • C3 AI
  • Enlighten IT Consulting
  • Ernst & Young
  • Kinecta DB
  • MAGS DS CORP
  • Map Large
  • Meroxa.io
  • NT Concepts
  • Oracle America
  • Palantir USG
  • Raft
  • Royce Geospatial Consultants
  • World Wide Technology

Space C2’s Data Software Services is a secure, configurable, enterprise data management and operations software solution that supports warfighter needs by serving as a data layer to efficiently integrate and manage escalating amounts of data from various disparate data sources to enable application delivery, in-depth analysis and data-driven decision making across echelons and functional communities. Data Software Services also facilitates interconnection for users operating on multiple security levels across multiple networks.

SSC is leveraging this commercial product as its capability to integrate all Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Command & Control (C2), Intelligence, Operational and System Readiness-relevant data to help drive course-of-action development and decisions.

Space Systems Command  is the U.S. Space Force’s field command responsible for acquiring and delivering resilient war fighting capabilities to protect our nation’s strategic advantage in and from space.
