Congratulations to the World Teleport Association’s Teleport Awards 2023 winners

March 23, 2023

Since 1995, WTA has presented annual awards to companies and individuals who have dramatically demonstrated excellence in the field of teleport operations, development and technology. Winners receive an Award and assistance with promotion of their achievement.

Independent Teleport Operator of the Year
U.S. Electrodynamics Inc. (USA)
Since 1987, the mission at U.S. Electrodynamics (USEI) has always been “Bringing the World Together.” USEI demonstrates this every day through our collaborative partnerships around the globe. USEI benefits from being a ‘flat’ organization, minimally hierarchical, which only happens within a team of exceptional talent, integrity, and commitment. In this way, USEI remains focused while still being technically agile enough at all stages of performance, product, and service delivery. The company’s staff is passionate about their work, inclusive in ideas whether top-down or bottom-up to attain the best solution or service to support a customer’s needs with the ever changing technological challenges in our Industry. USEI is a privately owned, independently operated U.S. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and has a worldwide staff of 57 employees. Both of the firm’s USEI WTA Certified Tier 4 U.S. teleport locations operate 117 satellite antennas on USEI owned 260 land acres: West Coast Brewster, Washington U.S. and East Coast Vernon Valley, New Jersey U.S. These locations serve GEO in the POR, CONUS, and AOR and the Brewster LEO/MEO services are augmented with additional LEO/MEO ground station antennas around the world. USEI is also expanding its satellite communication capabilities to provide for emerging Cis-Lunar and Deep Space applications.

Teleport Technology of the Year
CLEAN RF by INTEGRASYS
Clean RF is the best interference canceller available in the market, providing high quality communication in congested environments. It cleans the RF interference from the received signal at the satellite antenna. The solution enables secure and robust communications, protecting the network terminals from the most common interference sources. In a world full of congested spectrum and frequency reallocation CleanRF can effectively cancel harmful interference sources on satellite-to-ground links for both GEO, MEO and LEO satellites. Moreover, it is the only tool capable to cancel 5G over C-band interferences on the rise in many developed countries, affecting severely the satellite industry. CLEANRF allows the detection, identification, separation, and cancellation of RFI sources that affects the service signal, enabling satellite terminals to coexist with satellite and terrestrial interferences.

Teleport Executive of the Year
Vladimir Rangelov, Director Broadcasting Service, Vivacom (Bulgaria)
Vladimir Rangelov has served as Director of Broadcasting Services at Vivacom, based in Sofia, Bulgaria, for over 6 years. He previously held two senior manager roles at the company beginning in 2008. Vladimir’s leadership has resulted in more than 10% year-over-year teleport services growth for Vivacom in 2021 and a 24% increase in revenues over the past two years. Before joining Vivacom, Vladimir served in various managerial roles at tower company NURTS as commercial director, board member and CEO, ALCOMTECH JSC and ELTA-R. Vladimir also supports local educational institutions by sharing his knowledge and experience with students interested in the telecommunications industry. He also serves as a consultant and provides connectivity solutions for different astronomy projects conducted by Sofia University and scientific research missions for the Bulgarian Antarctic base.
