Delta Information Systems, Inc. completes acquisition of Telemetry and Communications Systems, Inc.

February 13, 2023

Delta Information Systems, Inc.(DIS) has completed the acquisition of Telemetry and Communications Systems, Inc. (TCS) of Chatsworth, California. TCS designs and manufactures sophisticated Tracking Antenna systems for the telemetry, communications, and intelligence marketplace. They are a recognized world leader in these markets. TCS specializes in building and updating Tracking Antenna systems around the world. These antennas range in size from 16 inches to over 7 meters. Like DIS, TCS has demonstrated a commitment to reliability, precision, efficiency, integrity, and cutting-edge technology, and they provide outstanding customer support over the life of the system.

TCS will be positioned in the Delta Telemetry Systems (DTS) group of companies. This includes GDP Space Systems: supplier of telemetry receivers, best source selectors, TMoIP, data distribution, conversion and test products, Acroamatics, Inc.: supplier of telemetry data decommutation, processing and display products, and Wideband Systems, Inc. supplier of advance recording solutions. These business areas support common markets and customers, allowing DIS to provide integrated solutions for larger requirements. TCS is an important part of DIS’s strategy to provide end-to-end solutions and components to the ground telemetry market. DIS’s other business units consist of Ampex Data Systems Corp: supplier of airborne solid-state mission and flight test recorders and Delta Digital Video: supplier of airborne and ground-based video compression, decompression and scan conversions products.

“We are very excited about the latest addition to our growing family of companies. TCS is a world-class leader in Tracking Antenna Systems. The TCS product lines provide the perfect strategic complement to our family of ground-based aerospace and flight test telemetry products produced by our Delta Telemetry Systems group of companies.” Expressed Gary Thom, DIS President, “We look forward to this acquisition helping us to expand our Best-of-Breed solutions for our Aerospace and Defense customers.”

“We are very pleased that this acquisition will preserve the culture and values of our company and continue to provide our customers with outstanding products, service and support for years to come” said Michel Roy, President of Telemetry and Communications Systems, Inc. who will remain with the company.

Telemetry and Communications Systems, Inc. will continue to operate under its own name as a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Information Systems located in Chatsworth, California, and will continue to provide exceptional products and services to new and existing customers.
