INTEGRASYS‘ new coordination project — Space4Green — was started on November 23rd with a kick-off meeting in Seville, Spain, where the company’s team had the opportunity to present their software solution for trusted and green traceability through EU space technologies.
They revealed the objectives and the overall ideas of the project, which had been carefully curated with nine other European businesses that were comprised of technological partners as well as end-users.
Space4Green is a “Business-to-Business (B2B)” platform for digital data sharing that supports automated verification of data trustworthiness, including the time, position and identity that are associated with the data handling process,. This project will create a method of developing automatic transactions that are trustworthy so that information, goods, services, and more can be safely transferred between stakeholders far more quickly.
The project is based on the idea of combining the European Space Technology (Galileo OSNMA and Copernicus Service) with blockchain, mobile platforms, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to obtain verified and trustworthy information to help the environment and enable a safe platform for transactions.
The idea is that Space4Green will have a powerful impact on the agriculture industry, making it more sustainable and eco-friendy. The use of Earth Observation (EO) via satellites is going to help farmers in matters such as tracking crops and livestock, providing land data and rainfall projections.
This project can also assist in other areas, such as the fishing industries where it can help monitor sustainable fishing quotas and making certain common fisheries policies are being followed. This project will contribute to the development of new, cutting-edge, SATCOM applications as well as forging technological advances in the agricultural industry.
