Satcube has named renowned ESA astronaut and physicist, Christer Fuglesang, as a company advisor — he is a professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, a space advisor at Saab as well as a retired ESA Astronaut.
Among others, Satcube currently has ten active projects in the Ukraine. Already an established provider of lightweight enterprise terminals serving the high-end GEO market, the introduction of Professor Fuglesang is well-timed, as Satcube looks to position itself to also serve the rapidly evolving LEO market segment.
Mats Andersson, Chairman, Satcube, said, “The Satcube Board and executive team are very pleased to welcome Christer Fuglesang as an expert advisor for Satcube. The timing could not be better with Satcube the GEO portable terminal provider aiming to explore opportunities in the LEO terminal market. Tapping his extensive vision, expertise, and knowledge in a wide range of topics, we also believe that Satcube will provide an interesting opportunity for Christer to participate in and lend his knowledge to a growing Swedish innovation company focused on the task of providing easy-to-use broadband connectivity anywhere in the world. Satcube is challenging legacy providers and enabling leading global NGO’s, media companies and government agencies to enable connectivity in the most critical of situations. Satcube has a forward-leaning vision and roadmap aimed at serving the satellite connectivity market’s evolving needs with home-grown technology developed and products produced in Sweden.”
”I am excited to join Satcube in an advisory role as the technology company enters the next phase of its growth journey,” said Christer Fuglesang. “I see the Satcube team as future-oriented innovators that have already proven the strength of the Swedish brand as a leading provider of premium portable terminals – in size, quality, functionality, and design.”
Satcube will exhibit at IBC Expo, Amsterdam, September 11-12, at Stand 1.B93 Feature demonstrations will include the Satcube Ku- lightweight satellite terminal, already serving NGO’s, major media houses and government agencies.
