ESA Academy, in partnership with Andøya Space Education and the Norwegian Space Agency, are proud to announce that eligible students may now apply for a new cycle of the Fly A Rocket! program.
The Fly a Rocket! program is designed with early bachelor students in mind and aims to introduce the space industry, ESA, the Norwegian efforts in space and, of course, rocketry, to interested parties. Unlike other hands-on programs, the Fly a Rocket! program is aimed at individual applicants, rather than team applications.
Successful applicants will initially participate in an online course where they will learn the basics about rocket dynamics, aerodynamics, atmospheric physics and more. Following the course, students are invited to participate in a launch campaign at Andøya Space in Northern Norway where they will, as part of a team, build, verify and launch their own student rocket!
While an understanding of some higher-level mathematics is required, candidates from any background are encouraged to apply. However, they should demonstrate a strong interest in the space industry, space science or technology.
Successful applicants will have the costs for travel (up to a ceiling), accommodation, and participation in the campaign covered by the organizers.
The deadline for applications is: October 9, 2022, 23:59 CEST
