SpaceWorks appoints a new CEO

August 1, 2022

SpaceWorks Enterprises, Inc. (SEI) has appointed Dr. John Bradford as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective today.

SpaceWorks Enterprises, Inc. Chair and Founder Dr. John R. Olds (center, right) congratulates incoming CEO Dr. John Bradford (center, left), accompanied by CFO Chris Stroumpis (left) and COO Jon Wallace (right).

Previously serving as the company’s Chief Technical Officer (CTO), Dr. Bradford now succeeds company Founder and outgoing CEO, Dr. John R. Olds. With more than 25 years of experience in the aerospace sector, Bradford is a recognized thought leader in the space industry and brings a wealth of technical expertise and business acumen.

Dr. Olds founded SpaceWorks in 2000 with the goal of being an industry leader in systems analysis and advanced concepts. Since that time, the company has become recognized in the field as the premier organization for providing cutting edge design and technical solutions for aerospace systems. Corporate expertise in system design ultimately led the company to mature a number of innovative concepts to hardware development and conducting numerous ground and flight test programs in support of government and commercial markets.

“John has been with SpaceWorks since nearly our founding. He has been an instrumental leader in driving our technological innovation and developing strong relationships with the Department of Defense, NASA, and commercial space entities,” said Dr. Olds, “I’m very pleased that he has accepted this new responsibility and I’m looking forward to the new directions our company will pursue.”

“Over the last decade, the industry has changed dramatically. New technological capabilities and national security issues are driving forward a variety of nascent ideas and solutions. Given the strength and diversity of our product lines established under John Olds, the company is well positioned to capitalize on the new challenges and opportunities ahead. I am excited to be leading the company and our top-notch engineering staff into this new era,” said Dr. Bradford.

John Olds will remain as SpaceWorks’ Chairman of the Board of Directors and will continue to support the company’s mission as a subject matter expert.
