Isotropic Systems + SpaceBridge Secure A Strategic Integration Partnership

March 23, 2022

Isotropic Systems has instituted a strategic integration partnership with SpaceBridge — this partnership secures a fully integrated, SpaceBridge, waveform option enabling dynamic waveform selection and switching between MF-TDMA (Multi-frequency time-division multiple access), ASCPC, or SCPC (single carrier per channel), optimizing satellite resource usage.

Isotropic System’s first launch products will offer a powerful SpaceBridge option designed to unlock access to SpaceBridge platforms in a single fully integrated terminal with the technology compatible with SpaceBridge ASAT™ product line including VSAT Hubs and Terminals for Point-to-Point, Point-to-Multi-Point, Mesh topologies, and SCPC and broadcast modems for GEO and NGSO constellations.

7720-SA: stand-alone board level

The Isotropic multi-link product line will offer a fully integrated SpaceBridge 7720-SA Modem Board option within the terminal and is fully compatible with the SpaceBridge ASAT line of standard modems.

Isotropic Systems completed a series of multi-orbit antenna trials with the U.S. Army and military forces earlier this year, enabling a broad range of vertical markets to leverage the game-changing terminal to connect to as many satellites as they want, when and wherever they want.

The Isotropic Systems multi-link antenna uses transformational optics to link seamlessly and simultaneously with multiple satellites in multiple orbits, offering a strategic edge to users looking to bring tailored experiences to aero, maritime, defense, land mobile and enterprise markets.

“I was very impressed by the SpaceBridge professional modem series. We believe the WaveSwitch™ is a key capability due to its multiple waveforms switching, providing the versatility needed to succeed in mobile communications between MFTDMA and SCPC over multiple links,” said John Finney, Isotropic Systems CEO. “We look forward to delivering industry-leading network flexibility and resource efficiency with our combined solution.”

“We are happy to integrate our multi-functional modems, capable of adapting the access scheme and waveform on-the-fly to perfectly match Isotropic’s state-of-the-art antenna to create a real multi-service, high-efficiency mobility terminal,” said David Gelerman, SpaceBridge CEO. “We welcome this cooperation, as SpaceBridge system capabilities will enhance the Isotropic’s performance. They were developed to provide exactly the solution for the demand of various On-The-Move, mission-critical, BLoS applications. Mission-critical, multi-link communications require various profiles in the same terminal. WaveSwitch mechanism elasticity, with its associated set of triggers, and high-efficiency high-gain multi-beam Isotropic antenna provide large savings on precious satellite resources without sacrificing the Quality-of-Experience.”
