NSR Releases Their Non-GEO Constellations Analysis Toolkit 2.0

October 25, 2021

NSR’s Non-GEO Constellations Analysis Toolkit 2.0 (NCAT2) is an assembly of easy-to-use analytical models that x-ray and benchmark LEO and MEO High Throughput Satellite (HTS) systems at key architectural and business layers.

Constellations of thousands of LEO and MEO satellites beaming tens of terabits per second are not only transforming the space business, but also affecting the wider telecommunications industry. This makes it imperative for planners and decision makers across telecom and satellite value chains to measure and visualize the impact at granular defined levels.

Version 2.0 of NSR’s popular NGSO toolbox puts that capability at clients fingertips. With pre-loaded datasets, configurable filters, inputs and visualizations, Non-GEO Constellations Analysis Toolkit 2.0 (NCAT2) is a standalone NSR product that may also be leveraged in combination with market data and insight from relevant NSR research studies.

Systems Analyzed in this Product:

Tools pre-populated with updated FCC/ITU filing data – Q3.2021 – both granted and in-process for: Amazon Project Kuiper (LEO), AST Space Mobile (LEO), China GW-2 & GW-A59 (LEO), Kepler Communications (LEO), LYNK Global, Mangata Networks (MEO), OneWeb (LEO phases 1 & 2), SES O3B (MEO), SES O3B (LEO IoT), SpaceX Starlink (LEO), SpaceX Starlink Gen2 (LEO & VLEO), SpaceX VLEO, Telesat Lightspeed (LEO), Telesat VLEO, and Viasat (MEO & LEO). Editable inputs let users evaluate system modifications and any other NGSO system.
