On Monday, September 13, at 8:55 p.m. PDT, SpaceX successfully launched 51 Starlink satellites from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
This was the tenth launch and landing of this Falcon 9 first stage booster, which previously launched the Telstar 18 VANTAGE, Iridium-8, and seven Starlink missions to orbit.
These 51 smallsats will join the Starlink constellation of hundreds of companion spacecraft previously to create satellite-based Internet across the globe.
After completing this task, the Falcon rocket’s first-stage booster will return to Earth. Touchdown of the booster will occur on the “Of Course I Still Love You” droneship that is awaiting the event in the Pacific Ocean.
