STN extends a multi-year satellite deal with Home2US Communications, Inc.

May 30, 2023

STN has announced that Home2US has renewed their long-term capacity agreement on the Galaxy-19 DTH platform that serves ethnic audiences across the U.S.

In conjunction with the extension of a multi-year deal on G-19 covering the North American market, Home2US is actively working with STN to add more diversified video services to the joint lot which includes, but is in no way limited to, services such as OTT streaming of premium payTV services as well as distribution of several new linear TV services that feature top programming from around the world.

STN has been broadcasting over the G-19 DTH platform using MPEG-4 DVB-S and, shortly, S2 compression technologies, which collectively enable efficient channel growth, HD and hybrid TV delivery as well as a strategic expansion into markets throughout EMEA and other regions around the world.

“Our strategic relationship with STN which currently is in its 7th year has given us the peace of mind with respect to effectiveness and efficiency we expect from our teleport and platform operator partners. In our 25th year in business and having worked with many teleports around the world, STN impressed us from the beginning of our relationship with their core focus on video services, their unrelenting efforts on quality associated with their services as well as the reliability one expects to see and find from such a partnership. Home2US’ linear TV networks uplinked on STN’s DTH platform have recently been transitioned from SD to HD successfully” continued Emrah Ozkan. “The next chapter of our alliance with STN should see many exciting developments in how and where Home2US DTH, DTT and OTT programming is delivered.”
— Emrah Ozkan, President and CEO of Home2US
