A space sector incubator is launched by Beyond Gravity (formerly RUAG Space)

June 28, 2022

Beyond Gravity is launching their own start-up program —”Launchpad” — in October of 2022.

The incubator supports young start-ups and their promising ideas around space technology. In the process, teams are developed from an early stage to an initial investment opportunity. The application period runs until mid-August of 2022.

From state-owned enterprise to start-up – Beyond Gravity (formerly RUAG Space) — has established this maxim as the company’s goal. With an eight-week start-up program, Beyond Gravity now offers young start-ups direct access to the international space community.

The three focal points of the incubator are space technology itself, the optimization of value chains, as well as the human factor in general, as the company believes that people make all the difference. The first program will start in October of 2022.

The three to five selected teams will be accompanied, step by step, through an eight-week program at Beyond Gravity’s headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, from the idea to seed funding maturity. The last step is when a jury of internal and external experts selects the winning projects.

André Wall, CEO of Beyond Gravity, said, “It is our vision to advance humanity and enable exploration of the world and beyond. I am very much looking forward to shaping the future of space travel together with selected startups.”

Stefan Knoche, Director Transformation at Beyond Gravity, said, “All entrepreneurs who are still in an early phase can apply, including those who do not yet have a product on the market.”
