Space Force’s Multiple Satellites Launch Into Orbit

The Space Force supported two Falcon 9 rocket launches last month. The Starlink 4-6 mission, launched on January 18,  delivered 49 satellites into orbit.

On January 31, a second rocket carried an Italian built COSMO-Sky-Med observation satellite into space. The satellite is equipped with state-of-the-art radar technology, which will help provide data on a global scale for a variety of applications. The U.S. and Italy share a long heritage of space security cooperation.
