Ursa Space has appointed and industry veteran Morten Hagland Hansen as Vice President of Energy & Maritime.
The newly created sales position furthers Ursa Space’s plans for continued growth and commitment to the development of satellite-derived data for the commercial sector.

Morten Hagland Hansen has more than 20 years of industry experience in the remote communications and IT services industries. He joins Ursa with an extensive background in leadership, solutions development, and customer success. Morten is recognized as a visionary leader who easily bridges the gap between technology and monetization.

Prior to Ursa Space, Morten managed Infrastructure Networks’ extensive 4G LTE / 5G NR terrestrial wireless network. Before this, he was responsible for the commercial maritime and energy markets revenue growth at SES Networks. Before SES, he served in several key leadership roles, responsible for overall technology strategy and overseeing global sales, marketing, product, and solutions development and operations at RigNet.
Morten has completed an executive education course in customer-focused innovation at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and holds an MBA in Energy from BI Norwegian Business School. He is also an Executive Producer for the award-winning film Zen Dog.
