A Podcast Celebration — Kratos’ ‘Constellations’ Reaches Their 100th Episode Milestone

June 2, 2021

The Constellations podcast recently released its 100th episode, one that features Stacy Kubicek, Vice President and General Manager for Mission Solutions at Lockheed Martin — this milestone episode focused on space-related mission critical solutions that benefit the warfighter and support national defense, from 5G satellite communication to the adoption of agile software development methods.

Sponsored by Kratos, Constellations is a bi-weekly podcast where business leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and thinkers express their views on the latest trends and issues of the satellite and space industry. The 25-minute interviews are hosted by John Gilroy, a familiar voice of the Washington, DC, tech community, who hosted “The Computer Guys” on NPR affiliate WAMU 88.5 FM for 25 years. John also runs a weekly technology interview program called “Federal Tech Talk,” on Federal News Network and just released their 693rd episode.

Constellations deals with the all aspects of space: commercial business, government and military, research and innovation, and more. Lately, Constellations addressed industry hot topics ranging from the ground segment revolution, to the latest Earth Observation (EO) technologies, U.S. Air Force Platform One and the rise of LEO mega-constellations. Recent guests include leaders from the U.S. Space Force and Congress, large satellite corporations as well as space startups, venture capitalists, NGOs and new space companies.

Constellations recently added follow-up articles to its podcast webpage to continue the conversation in a deeper written format. Recent topics include lessons learned from space investors, a deep dive into quantum communications in space and the advantages of a virtual teleport.

“Kratos has always been a leader in space communications so it’s no surprise they are leading in sharing the extensive experience of a wide variety of thought leaders,” said Brad Bode, CTO and CIO of Atlas Space Operations. “It’s always a pleasure to share our company’s experiences in detail in such a great long format. Thanks for starting the Constellations podcast Kratos”

“I thoroughly enjoyed being a guest on the Constellations podcast a few months ago. John and I talked ‘all things LEO,’ including constellation design, mitigating space debris, preserving the night sky for astronomers and exploiting next-generation technologies for our Telesat Lightspeed network. Congratulations to the Kratos team on creating this unique platform and reaching the 100th episode milestone.” said Erwin Hudson, Vice President, LEO, Telesat.

Constellations Podcast is available on all major podcast apps, including iTunes, Google Podcast and Spotify. Visit @KratosDefense on Twitter and Kratos Defense and Security Solutions on LinkedIn for regular updates on new episodes and articles.
