Ovzon’s Orders from the Italian National Fire Corps

January 11, 2021

The Italian National Fire Corps. revealed their order for satellite services with Ovzon. The order for satellite services came from the Italian Ministry of the Interiors for the Italian National Fire Corps. The order is for 12 months of Ovzon’s recently launched service Ovzon GO. The initial order value is approximately 200 kUSD.

The order is through Ovzon’s Italian distributor Gomedia Satcom. Ovzon and Gomedia started working together late 2019 and Gomedia has previously secured several orders from the Italian Government for Defense applications and from Broadcaster RAI, using Ovzon’s services for live transmissions at for example Giro d’Italia.

“First responders like the Fire Corps require mobile, reliable communications with high throughput and stability. Ovzon’s services are based on portable terminals that are easy to use and provide reliable high-speed communication. This is a good example of how Ovzon’s services are used to provide communication in distress situations and we are happy to see how our services can help those organizations,” says Magnus René, CEO of Ovzon.
