Kratos’ Constellations Podcasts Enters Third Broadcasting Anniversary

December 1, 2020

Constellations, the podcast that connects listeners to space industry leaders, is celebrating its third anniversary this month. Launched by Kratos in 2017, the podcast, with listeners in 150 countries, has hosted more than 90 guests, including Kay Sears from Lockheed Martin, Lt. Gen. John Shaw from USSPACECOM and Vint Cerf, Father of the Internet.

Sponsored by Kratos, Constellations is a bi-weekly podcast where business leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and thinkers express their views on the latest trends and issues of the satellite and space industry. The 25-minute interviews are hosted by John Gilroy, a familiar voice of the Washington, DC tech community, who hosted “The Computer Guys” on National Public Radio for 23 years and now moderates “Federal Tech Talk” on Federal News Network.

Constellations deals with the all aspects of space: commercial business, government and military, research and innovation, and more. During its third year, Constellations addressed industry hot topics ranging from the ground segment revolution, to the latest Earth Observation (EO) technologies, the role of a Space Force and the challenges of dealing with congested space. Recent guests include leaders from the U.S. Space Force and Congress, large satellite corporations as well as space startups, venture capitalists, NGOs and new space companies.

Listeners and speakers can join in the anniversary celebration on social media, December 2nd through December 9th, by sharing their favorite episode and win a commemorative Constellations tee-shirt. Executive Comments

“I had the pleasure of being a guest on the Constellations podcast earlier this summer,” said Dylan Taylor, Chairman and CEO of Voyager Space Holdings. “Our far-ranging discussion covered everything from Voyager Space Holdings and the future of space investment to space philosophy, social change and the future of humanity in space.”

“I recently had the pleasure of discussing space debris and satellite tracking with John on the Constellations podcast! The industry is growing rapidly and launching a lot of incredible satellites into LEO. We talked about the online services and radars that LeoLabs is rolling out to keep up with them. I look forward to learning about other exciting space ventures when I listen to future episodes,” said Dan Ceperley, CEO and Co-Founder of LeoLabs.
