New Directional Coupler Introduced by KRYTAR

November 24, 2020

KRYTAR, Inc. has announced a new Directional Coupler operating in the frequency range of 0.5 to 8.0 GHz offering Nominal Coupling of 30 dB in a compact package.

KRYTAR’s new directional coupler, Model 158030, is uniquely designed for systems applications where external leveling, precise monitoring, signal mixing or swept transmission and reflection measurements are required. The new directional coupler also lends itself to wireless designs and many test and measurement applications from UHF through C-Band including SATCOM, electronic warfare (EW), commercial wireless, radar, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beam forming, and EMC testing environments. For many space-restricted applications the compact size makes KRYTAR directional couplers ideal.

KRYTAR’s new directional coupler, Model 158030, offers superior performance ratings including Nominal Coupling (with respect to output) of 30 dB, ±0.8 dB, and Frequency Sensitivity of ±0.6 dB. The directional coupler exhibits Insertion Loss (including coupled power) of less than 0.80 dB, Directivity of greater than 16 dB, Maximum VSWR (any port) is 1.35, Input Power Rating is 20 W average and 3 kW peak.

The new directional coupler comes with industry-standard SMA Female Connectors. Optional SMA Male and N Female Connectors are available. The compact package measures just 5.25 inches (L) x 0.53 inches (W) x 0.72 inches (H), and weighs only 3.8 ounces. Operating temperature is -54° to 85° C.
