Advantech Wireless Rolls Out New Ka-Band SSPAs + BUCs

October 1, 2020

Advantech Wireless Technologies has released a new Line of Ka-Band Solid State Power Amplifiers and BUCs for LEO/MEO satellite up-link applications.

These new state-of-the-art Dual Band Ka Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) and Block Up Converters (BUCs) from Advantech Wireless Technologies are specifically engineered for LEO/MEO ground station applications.

Based on Advantech’s proprietary technology, this new series of amplifiers delivers features that are sure to have a beneficial impact on both Capex and Opex budgets and provide the highest availability through high MTBF and low MTTR. These features include: Field serviceability, Low sparing costs and Component-level diagnostics.

Designed to serve as a solid state alternative to traditional tube based (TWT) technologies typically used in gateway earth stations. For communications purposes, all of the system elements communicate over Advantech’s new MicroManager (M²) M&C platform based on the latest open CANBus protocol.

These new SSPAs and BUCs are suitable for hubmount and well as any mobile application, such as military mobile or SNG.
