USAF’s Defense Meteorological Satellite Program Sustainment Contract Awarded to Northrop Grumman

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. has been awarded a $7,304,322 firm-fixed-price and cost-reimbursement modification (P00013) to contract FA8823-17-C-0001 for Defense Meteorological Satellite Program sensor sustainment.

This contract modification provides for the exercise of an option for sensor sustainment of the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program on-orbit constellation being provided under the basic contract. Work will be performed in Azusa, California; Baltimore, Maryland; Boulder, Colorado; and Dallas, Texas, and is expected to be completed May 31, 2021.

The total cumulative face value of the contract is $29,309,850. Fiscal 2020 operations and maintenance funds are being obligated at the time of award.

The Space and Missiles Systems Center, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, is the contracting activity.
